The real SANTA CLAUS

Yes, he was at Goodwin Frazier Elementary School. Larry was off from work on Friday and we went to pick him up at 1:15 (early dismissal) and who did we see? SANTA CLAUS. Jonah was so excited when he got into the car and told us that he had huged SANTA and that he had asked SANTA if he was the real SANTA CLAUS and he told him YES!!!! Can you believe it? It was too cute, Larry and I could not believe this, he is still at this innocent time and still believes. He could not stop talking about it and had to tell everyone he saw that afternoon. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU!

Hard working boys

We decided for family home evening today to clean our front yard. It was a good time to bond with the boys at this time and show to Dad (he was in Fort Worth with his job) that we, too, can do some of that hard work. He asked who had possesed me, because I do not do any work outside the house. I don't like being hot, but today was a gorgeous day.

Of couse Micah had to buried Jonah in the leaves (and Jonah loved it).

Did you get a chance to see the night sky on this day?. Click on the photo to enlarge it (I hope is a little clear - you can only see the two dots - but it was so cool though). The next time Venus, Jupiter, and the moon will be as close and visible as they were on December 1, 2008 will be November 18, 2052. The boys and I went outside to watch this, which was so amazing.

My sister drove to Livingston to spend time with us. Here we are with Michelle (Glavin's and Helen's oldest daughter).

Tonya is Glavin's and Helen's middle daughter. She is here with her girls - youngest on the left is Jackie, then middle daughter is Torrie to the right, and Nickie is her oldest in the far right.

This is Helen’s and Glavin’s youngest son Aaron with Micah. Aaron lived with us for 6 months when we lived in Edinburg. Micah loves his cousin, especially now that he is the same height or maybe a little taller than Aaron is now.

Traci also spend some time with us in Edinburg, but only in the summers. Here is Micah with Traci showing off that he, too, is taller than she is.

Here are thre three sons and their wifes. Glavin (the oldest) and Helen are sitting down. Next, is Jimmie and Linda, and the baby of the Lear boys is Larry with me next to him.

Thanksgiving at the Lear's

Here are Nicole, Kade and Micah. That chocolate pecan pie that Kade ate was delicious. We had turkey, oyster dressing, potatoe salad, homemade mac and cheese, green bean casserole, ham, deep fried turkey, pies, etc, etc, etc. When we are with the Lears the menu is never ending. We had so much left over for lunch the next day.

Traci just got married in May. So I had to take a picture of her cleaning up after all of that delicious food. Yes, she did get her hands dirty.

Here are Jimmie and Linda on Thanksgiving Day, they are always wonderful hosts to us when we go to LA. We always stay in their home. Jimmie is Larry's middle brother.

Thanksgiving at the Fenerty's

Here is the Fenerty gang. My sister and her girls, and Marty and his boys. We had such a good time eating turykey (Marty always makes a good turkey and very juicy), dressing, noodles and cheese casserole, pumpking pie and cookies. I almost fell asleep at the wheel (after all of that turykey) driving to Livingston (one hour away) later that afternoon to have another thanksgiving meal with the Lear family. It was all super delicious!!

Here are the cousins together. Roberto was able to spend Thanksgiving with us too.

We saw this duck at the gas station when we stop to fill our tank with gas. The boys thought is was pretty funny to see a duck in the middle of the day in the parking lot.
